I guess Moffat decided to write what he knew, or at least what he didn't like about being a teacher. Sounds like a good theory. His first show was set in a school, so he knows how to write kids. (If you ever get the chance to watch Press Gang, go for it!)

I don't listened to Big Finish either, but at least others have that option. Yes, I'm glad they're making them. Sadly they're too expensive to be widely accessible.
