Funny that! On first viewing, I didn't even know who Sarah Parish or Catherine Tate were.:) Fandom is an education. :)
I've only seen analysis videos. Thirteen comes across as quirky, which was endearing in her first appearance in "The Woman Who Fell To Earth". I can't picture her being "dark" as her previous incarnations. Oooh but she CAN be! I took until ep 8 of S12 for it to show up properly (there was a bit in ep 4 of S12 as well), and Jodie is an amazing actress who can totally pull it off. But they hardly touched it, sadly. I hope they'll do more with it in S13, because it's such a waste of Jodie to keep her Doctor all... fluffy.
I'd like to see them keep a companion from the Thirteenth era to make it feel like an actual transition. Please let it be John Bishop. Yes. I did sneak a peek. I'm not sure what they've done with Yaz. Yaz is lovely, and again - hoping they do something more with her. Not that I don't like John Bishop, but if it's a choice between middle-aged white guy and Asian female companion, Yaz wins! (Of course, if we look at what the era has done so far, John Bishop's character is likely too have LOT more development. *sigh*)
Of course! I just learned something new. Thanks.:) You're welcome! <3
