Year 2 of Lockdown, Day 84
How are we a week into June? I have completely lost touch with time. I also tried to catch up with LJ and ended up at skip=440 /o\
Am tired, so have a couple of Good Omens things:

Daily Dimash 16: Sinful Passion
What can I even say about this performance? It's one of the Top 5 that anyone who has just discovered Dimash is told to watch, because... well. It's that spectacular. And I managed to find a version with a) an intro that explains the origins of the song & the band he is performing with, b) subtitles and c) has a clean audio, with no blip! (This is something close to a miracle, they ALL have the same gap in the middle of the most incredible run.) If you don't care about the background story & just want the song, start at 1:04

I'll probably come back & add reaction videos, but right now I am too tired, and the song deserves to just stand on its own.
I've tried to think what I can compare it to, and the only thing is Simone Biles - the combination of inherent talent and rigorous training that results in something that seems like it shouldn't be humanly possible and yet, here it is.
Also, the bald man at the front who stands up for the standing ovation at the end is Igor Krutoy, a Ukrainian-Russian composer who has gone on to do many collaborations with Dimash.
So, about that run. I have added a few reaction videos below, but the run is generally timed at between 22-25 seconds. For comparison, the most recent Eurovision had The Longest Note Ever At Eurovision at 17 seconds. Which was a single note, just held, without any runs. (Which is impressive in its own right!! Like, my hat off to the singer.) It's more to highlight how much more he can do, than even 'regular' incredibly talented singers. :)
You also get a video of the rehearsal (followed by the performance itself) and like... he can just... do that at the drop of a hat.
