Wooo it's Friday! This was a long week. Work has been BUSY, and due to staff holidays there have been more days IN work as opposed to just rolling up to my desk... Anyway, have some stuff.

Here, the older two are both back at uni now and the 15 y.o has started back at school, so the house is very quiet and tidy. Well I SAY quiet, there is still violin practice going on... This is the piece she is currently learning and has been playing since lockdown started? (It's possible it hasn't been that long, time has just lost all meaning.) But for anyone curious, here is the current soundtrack for my life:
Imagine this, but without the piano, and less polished & on repeat. :) And the top comment made me smile:

If your young'un can play even a few bars on a stringed instrument, she's so very far beyond the rest of us that she can be smug. Also, I'm outing myself as an anime lover when I say that clip flung me straight back into the feels I still get when thinking of "Your Lie In April". *gazes off into the distance, trying not to let the tears start*

Oh she's rather good! She has been playing for... (goes to check) 5 1/2 years. As she points out she hasn't had lessons for all that time (she started out in primary school with basic lessons rather than one-to-one), but she's done her Grade 6 (whatever the equivalent might be for you? The top is 8).

LOL...ahhh, the trials I used to put my own family through with violin...and I totally feel your teen - need to cram in those hours to sound even CLOSE to that flawless, lol!
