Why naming your pet after your favourite character is a *brilliant* idea! :)
The Cerub (now 16 months old) is - apart from climing up everything and trying to eat anything she finds - learning quite a few words. We've had 'ma'/'mum' and 'dad' for quite a while, as well as 'bye'/'goo-bye' and 'ello' and - very unsusually - 'yes' (but not 'no'). She's very good at using 'yes' btw - whenever we tell her 'no!' she just grins widely and says 'Yes!'.
Anyway, I'm not going to list *all* her little words. Because there's one very important one that she's now (almost) mastered. In case you didn't know/had forgotten, two years ago Darcy gave me a big black (1 y.o.) cat for Christmas, and (obviously!) we named him 'Spike'. The Cherub has picked up on this - at first it was a v. cute 'Gaike!', but now she's got the hang of 'Bike' ('Sp' isn't easy to pronounce) and says it whenever she sees him. And I *know* that I'm unbearably sad, because I'm thrilled to bits that one of my baby's first words is 'Spike', but... it's just too awesome not to be happy about! :)
(Spike btw is very aptly named. He's a very good hunter, catching lots of mice and birds (and sometimes rats *shudder*), but he's also a complete softie. He *loves* people and Darcy frequently gets very annoyed with his patheticness... he is (quite literally!) a push-over!)

isn't it fabulous that it's about Masturbation? back when I was in school that wasn't part of the sex ed and now she had to write a paper on it (I wonder if she blushed during the presentation *g*). plus she was bad at school last year, but this year she's doing great. I'm really proud of her.
now I only have to finish the beta-reading for the other sis. lol.
*hugs back*

When my parents got a white kitten a few years ago, my sister wanted to name it Spike, but she was out-voted and the kitten ended up being called Nemo. My sister has not forgiven this, especially since Nemo ended up looking like this :)

Well I don't think we'll get any more, but if Spike had been a girl he'd definitely have been called 'Buffy'. :)

I'm amazed that she didn't turn into a silent ball of embarrassment! Most young people would, I think...
but this year she's doing great. I'm really proud of her.
*is happy for you* :)

Possibly if I remember to put batteries in the camera...
remember it could be far worse
Worse? It could hardly be better! *g*

She's just too cute for words. :)
Ellen's got hundreds (well it seems like it anyway) of the Littlest Petshop animals
Little Miss M has around 10. I feel your pain. *g*
one of the dogs is called Spike, in honour of my favourite vampire.
Aw, that's so sweet!
