Went for my first socially distanced event last night. People were shocked by how much different I look post COVID.

My friends husband said if more people talked about their ICU stays, people would take COVID more seriously.

Every other patient in my ICU suite died.

Finally, today's art. This one was just too lovely. Japanese artist Mika Hirasa produces narrative illustrations using a fusion of embroidery and applique (x).

Same here. It just sort of... gets glossed over? And I remember it as this horrific current news. :(

same. it colours the entire decade of the 90s for me, but then again my foster mum was Bosnian, so it always felt very present

We had a Serb and a Croat in our parish, who were flatmates and best friends, and it was a strange connection to something that seemed so outlandish.
