If you feel like going on a walk in the Faroes, I have just the thing:

Drúgt sjónvarp

Literally people walking across mountains, with a camera. No soundtrack or fancy editing. Just hours long walks in beautiful nature. A bit like that log burning tv channel, but a bit more varied and breathtaking. :)

The Faroes walk is slightly spoilt by the sound of waterproof trousers rubbing together. Are there no trees in the Faroes? Would that be unsuitable terrain, or loss of tree cover due to early man felling them?

LOL. Yes, but it's very accurate. I'd suggest turning the sound off, or just play some music alongside?

The answer is very simple: sheep. (The Faroe Islands literally means 'the sheep islands'.) I doubt there were ever trees. It's very remote and very windy. Possibly. But ever since the first settlers arrived there are sheep everywhere in the mountains, and they eat everything. :)

Thankfully she seems okay now. But yeah, no idea how she survived.

We had individual therapy as well. Here's what my therapist said to me: “Your childhood was so terrible that your experience at the World Trade Center was nothing compared to what you experienced as a kid. Your post-traumatic stress therapy needs to focus on your childhood.”

It's amazing that she came through it all.

The fact that she is still on speaking terms with her mother and now actually has a decent relationship with her is amazing. I'm in awe.

It's why I decided to share the email - there are a lot of heartwarming stories out there of people staying in touch with elderly relatives, but to reach out through all of that history and forge a path? It's amazing.

Is it really wearing a mask? I looked hard and it looked to me as if it is simply its markings; we have had a couple that looked like that.
