Update from The House of Plague, Day 14
So, this is technically the last day of Quarantine. (14 days from when the first family member falls ill.) However so much has changed in those 14 days that... there will be little to no difference.
Mind you, this whole Working From Home thing is tiring when you have lots of actual work thrown at you. (I work as an admin for a further education college - 16-18 year olds - and let me tell you, there is a LOT of work going on behind the scenes.)
Haven't even replied to yesterday's replies yet, and today's offering will be short, because... tired from work. But here are three entertaining things, brought to you by covid-19 in one way or another:
The cast and crew of Doctor Who are so good. During a global pandemic we now, in less than a week, have / are going to have: ALL THESE THINGS. Follow the link. :)
From facebook. I... have no words. The person filming DOES (have a lot of words). Welcome to Yorkshire (beware, much swearing): Strange time to be alive.
And finally, I present: Hacker T Dog's singalong. ('This was incredible! I messaged all my neighbours to come to their windows to sing a song together last night at 8pm to boost everyone’s morale and this is what happened.') (For those not familiar with this legend, go here.)

Yes! For the affected member things can definitely change if they had the illness, since they're both safe and can't spread anything elsewhere. But generally speaking, we're all largely quarantined.

AH WELL. Here we are. At least we're offocially 'free' even if we have nowhere to go.

Anyway, any excuse to use my Nine icon. :)

And then there are all the applicants for next year, to keep in touch with and reassure and keep everything updated and try to work out how it'll all function (and that part IS my remit), so yeah... not bored. Not cleaned out a single cupboard!

But please don't be worried - they were fine after a couple of days. And we don't know if it was covid-19, since there's no testing for random people. Hope you are doing OK, I'm sure I've been meaning to reply to your posts, but am actually busy... (Working from home is a lot of work! Who'd have thunk!)

True! But at least not having to make the trip to and from work saves some time and effort.
