Update from The House of Plague, Day 2
Everyone is watching Pop Team Epic (on Netflix). Here's a taste:
The plague so far is manifesting itself as a lazy Saturday morning.
ETA: Managed to log in to work remotely. So well, that's me working from home... um, yay?
ETA2: More general update:
- Husband is now somwhat improved and baking bread
- Eldest (Miss M, 21 y.o) still very tight chested, but currently knitting. She's on an Art Foundation course, so obviously missing classes, but has plenty she can get on with, and has an Unconditional Offer for her 1st university choice, so she's good.
- Middle Child (Impish Girl, 18), is home and has online video uni classes.
- Youngest (The Cherub, 14) has plenty of online work (they sent her whole year group home due to staff shortages), so she should hopefully not be too bored.
AND THAT'S US.

Feeling better so going into work today. I'm given to understand that we're probably closing, so figure I might as well get a last bit of social interaction and see what loose ends I can tie up since I can't really do my job from home.

ETA: Re. Pop Team Epic then... it's completely random crap. Like a crack video, but taken to extremes. Amusing, but weird.

My elder niece is a teacher in a school that hasn't yet closed so is currently surrounded by "germy teenagers" which she's not too happy about. I suspect it won't be long before the schools all shut.
When J used to work from home he always found the connection so awful that he spent more time swearing at it than actually working. Hope yours isn't like that.

Yeah, just normal unwellness, and not as bad as a regular flu.

Germy teenagers are a risk at the best of times. And yeah, I'm sure schools will shut soon. If nothing else, then due to staff shortages...

Thankfully the connection seems to be fine! *crosses fingers* It's just weird to sit at my desk, in my bedroom, working!

And it seems we will be having the girls at home until... September? Potentially? So we best make sure they are kept busy.

And yeah, we are beginning to think about applying structure to life - the youngest will try to follow her school timetable to make sure she keeps on top of all her work.
