I've been holding off watching the last two seasons until I know how it ends. (Thanks, Joss! And also Chris Carter!) It's been...interesting, to watch the reactions. I am maybe enjoying it more than is strictly healthy.

Oh yes. But GoT is... everywhere. Like, I was (back whenever) spoiled for Jon Snow's death by overhearing a random conversation at work. That hasn't happened with any other show, ever.

Oh yeah, I get what you mean. At my job we ring a bell for some achievements and I did that on Tuesday and my bosses boss first says "great news" but then he said "Did you watch Game of Thrones??" Then later the same day two serious finance bros got stuck in a long Dany related conversation next to the tea and coffee station. Like, I went past when they started, I went past 15 minutes later they're still there.

!!! Damn. I find it fascinating when fannish stuff crosses into RL (as it were). Because it's not usual for people to discuss the motivations of TV characters.

Agreed. I've actually been pretty sucked in by this season, but this has never been my fandom. Watching the people who have been that invested all along is both a little heartbreaking and, let us admit, deeply entertaining.
