Connor. And Cordy - but not together.
Re-watching AtS S3 is very interesting...
Connor
Connor grew up in the Quor-Toth, the darkest of the dark worlds. And the first person he attaches himself to is a girl - named Sunny. Never in a million years is that a co-incidence. Sunny - sunshine, light, goodness, love... the thing he wants and will try to find. But this Sunny is damaged and broken ("Parents should have to take like a test or something, before they can have kids."), not able to cope in this world ("No. It's - it's not that kind of medicine. - It helps me sometimes when I'm - sad.") - this Sunny is dead before long.
Connor will try to find his way, but he is let down by both his fathers. He will try to find light and goodness, but all he gets is Jasmine - night blooming, born through murder - offering fake happiness like a drug. Poor guy, he never stood a chance.
Cordelia
I've not watched 'Provider' and 'Waiting in the Wings', but in the episodes after Cordy and Groo come back from their holiday I have to say that Cordy seems... off. It's partly the hair of course (ultra-short and blond - just wrong!), but there's something else as well that it's hard to put my finger on. She's very confident, but that's nothing new. I think it's more to do with her attitude - before she was always forceful, quite simply because she was Cordy and her viewpoint mattered! But in these episodes it's more that she's right, because she knows that rightness is on her side. I'm not very good at explaining it, but I think that her new demon powers have a lot of Jasmine-itis in them. For example the way she 'heals' Connor ("Let it go, honey - Just let it go. You don't need that. You don't need any of that.") - very, very Jasmine.
I always used to think that her stint as Higher power was a dividing line, but now I'm not so sure - I think the progress was a lot more gradual, and it's not until she's pregnant that Jasmine takes over completely.
I think that makes sense - I'm v. tired and half-asleep and now I must go! See you later!

I love Connor, he's a poor troubled young man who had been betrayed by many. Every time he trusts someone, they turn him down. I think the best Angel ever did for him was clear his memory and give him a normal life with a normal family. That's the most selfless deed Angel had ever did, and increases my respect for him.

I love Connor, he's a poor troubled young man who had been betrayed by many.
I think he's one of the best examples of the consequences of child abuse evre portrayed - and yes I'm also so happy that Angel could give him a new life (Origin is one of my favourite episodes!), even though the price was so high.

Me too! It's so amazing to see the difference between Damaged!Connor and Healthy!Connor, and best of all, it made Angel see that he did the right thing for his son. I have mixed feelings about him erasing Connor from his friends' memories, though.
I also wish that Spike had interacted more with Connor.
