Yeah, nothing... coalesced, as I tried to wrestle with it. Unless I went into ALL THE ISSUES and ALL OF TWELVE... (Which, no.) I need about a month off to process the end of Moff Who. And this is why I resisted watching anything else around the Christmas special? Because I knew once I got distracted it would be so hard to get the gears working again.
Yeah, I took the line (which is awesome on its own), projected back and there it was! A scene that should have been. I also want to know the circumstances under which Twelve watched Frozen because that's a delightful thought.
Oh totally. But TREE? That one just sounded odd. Fair point. I didn't catch it at all, just registered that there were some titles in there we'd never heard before. Though it does fit with his new-found habits of rooting himself in one place.
I didn't point this out, but I always wondered at 'The Beast' (which is one of the names thrown at him back then), but here it's The Beast of Trenzalore, so it makes sense now. :) Ohhhhh. Nice.
Mmm. And the German was as scared and unhappy. Maybe the Doctor will one day get a German companion. It's one of the things that kinda bugs me about Fires of Pompeii? Like, I like Donna's 'just save somebody' but the implications of the fact that that family got rescued just because they're the ones we got to know is a bit . . . ? It's not like there's any better way to choose you don't want the Doctor to not rescue that family, but. This set-up with the German being saved too is someone a slightly better managed example.
