I look forward to Chibnall, cause he's very much a character-centric writer, so it'll be something very different, and it probably won't wear out my brain to the same degree. *g*
I'm almost curious to find out what they'll hate him for? RTD was a sort of free for all (he was sexist, racist, homophobic, you name it), Moffat of course HATES women (*eyeroll*), so I'm sure Chibnall will somehow make them all hate him. Poor guy. It's a poisoned chalice.

Well, it's not POC representation as we have two POC companions so I'm going to stick with women.
Our brains will definitely get a rest, yes. ;) Fewer metaphors, more character arcs. Mmm, like Torchwood used to be. But with less depressing stories, presumably.
