You may! Some of the River audios are honestly brilliant. (Then again, I love BF audios in the first place, but I have one favourite per boxset that I just can't stop loving.)
Signs from the first boxset, which has a lot of interesting River/Doctor themes and River being a wonderful heroine in a dire crisis, and Five Twenty-Nine from the second with River on a mission to save some innocent people and no Doctor involved. The other adventures were really cool, but these were so full of insight and emotion and powerful themes :) I'd say they were definitely the most character-driven stories of the lot.
You do that! :) Signs leans a bit on the two previous audios but should be self-explanatory if you just briefly look up what they were about, Five Twenty-Nine can kind of work as standalone.
