And since I just finished re-reading the first book, and remembered how much I liked F'Nor and Canth (and always hated that Canth never got a chance to prove that brown dragons could mate with a queen, thanks to Wirenth dying ... hmmm, long sentence ... I guess it's time to read "Dragonquest" again and be upset all over again.

Indeed. There are a number of scenes in each of the two books that have always stayed with me, and it's nice to read the context around those scenes once in a while.

I (like most people) discovered them when I was a teenager, and it's hard to overstate the appeal of dragons at that age...
