It's Christopher Eccleston (9) and Jodie Whittaker (13) in Antigone. And interestingly, her lines could be summed up as 'I do what I do because it's right!' Oh aye, she'll be a grand Doctor. In short - if you're wondering why she was cast, watch this. Big, angry righteous monologue, as if born to it. She'll be fantastic.

(Also, SO NORTHERN OMG. The Doctor is a Northern lass, I'm chuffed to bits. <3)

Although honestly I am kind of tired of the big angry righteous monologue and could use a Doctor in the style of 5. But I don't want the first woman Doctor to miss out on all the angry righteousness. So I'll wait for that for 14, who will hopefully also be a woman.

Which, being from Greece, is a bit funny seeing Antigone performed as. I mean, we all do it in school, this is a weird experience, DW actors notwithstanding.
