Interesting day...
In case you haven't seen it yet, here is Jonathan Pie's reaction.
For anyone who wants a proper primer, Vox wrote a handy article just before the election. Covers most issues, I think.
Except of course the DUP, whom Ms May now wants to make an alliance with... BBC article here which covers a lot of it. They're basically hardcore right wing fundamentalists, with everything that entails - hey, it's like getting a taste of the GOP!! Except endorsed by the three biggest loyalist paramilitary organisations. ETA: Better link The Democratic Unionist Party
Such charming friends she keeps. Especially after going on and on about Corbyn 'palling around' with terrorists... With thanks to
enevarim there is a perfect tweet:
And a more serious ETA:
And half an hour to The Last Leg!! (Two hour Election Special. This should be goooooooood!!)

But who can even guess these days what will happen. Every day is a new crisis. I just hope we can pick up the pieces when it's done.

Ooooh, I know. If you can watch it, this video comparing Cruz & Trump works very well if you pretend it's about Pence or Trump. (Pence is a prime example of a perfect Vice President - he ensures that no one will kill the president...)
But hopefully every day of that four years will be a living hell for the Donald and a stain on the Republicans.
Heh.
But who can even guess these days what will happen. Every day is a new crisis. I just hope we can pick up the pieces when it's done.
So say we all...

My senator, Al Franken, who is totally awesome, used to be a comedian on Saturday Night Live, so has a bit of edgy sarcasm. He just came out with a new book and he devoted an entire chapter to his hatred of Ted Cruz.
Obviously, my knowledge of British politics is limited, for sure. I get that there is a certain amount of righteous glee over what happened to May. And I hope it means a softer Brexit. But I also hope the chaos isn't too painful for you folks. Cuz it's been really painful over here. Really painful. Like every day, there are new ways to be tortured. Oh, and by the way, could you please take Nigel Farage back? I really don't think I can take much more of him.
PS - if there is any way you can watch a show on Thursday night on Comedy Central called The President Show, it's very funny.

It's very strange.

LOL.

Well, at the moment it looks like she'll derail the Good Friday Agreement, so that could mean actual pain and The Troubles starting up again. :( Here's to hoping she resigns or something before it gets serious.
Cuz it's been really painful over here. Really painful. Like every day, there are new ways to be tortured.
Yeah, I follow from a distance. I shall pray for a miracle.
Oh, and by the way, could you please take Nigel Farage back? I really don't think I can take much more of him.
I'm not sure what you did to deserve him AND Piers Morgan, two of the most loathed men in all of Britain. Or possibly THE two most loathed. Can't we send him somewhere else? Like St Helena?
PS - if there is any way you can watch a show on Thursday night on Comedy Central called The President Show, it's very funny.
Duly noted. I shall have a look.
I'll just leave this here...

That is a thing of beauty. :D

"Well, it's like King Arthur. When he hears that Britain's in danger, he returns from Fox News!"
"Yeah, I don't remember that bit in the Arthurian Legend..."
