The bit in the early Tom Holt book about Ceefax (were you around for Ceefax?) which revealed that the secret was to press a random number while thinking really hard of the page you really wanted, or alternately throw it against the floor or a wall, always seemed the only possible explanation for what actually happened.
(There was a page counter in the top corner, and so you could be on page 100 and type in “400” and it would cheerfully cycle right past 400 without stopping on it, eventually arriving there by entirely mysterious means. It was one of the most infuriating bits of tech, and I never *did* find out what it was actually doing / trying to do.)
I agree with Mummy: that is a ridiculous amount of remotes. Why do they have both a Firestick AND Apple TV??? And a PS4 is most certainly for girls as well. :PPP
