AHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Please enjoy this clip of @jimjefferies going to town on Piers Morgan on Real Time. pic.twitter.com/jKc5WgiiLI

In case there is any doubt, everyone in the UK loathes Piers Morgan. Jeremy Clarkson once said that he thought they should put Piers Morgan on the 4th plinth on Trafalgar Square, as he is clearly impervious to any attacks, and it'd be nice to let pigeons shit on him daily... Oh and J.K. Rowling of course is spot-on as always:
Because you had a premonition that one day the author would roar with laughter at seeing you called out for your bullshit on live TV? https://t.co/8rkKSqJTnG

Piers Morgan has been an odious toad for many years, he seems to have stepped it up a gear of late.
I saw someone on Twitter actually having a go at JK Rowling for Tweeting the phrase "fuck off," and that it meant she was a bad role model for anyone's daughter. I had to laugh at that, because it was entirely appropriate use of swearing - Piers Morgan is absolutely, precisely the kind of person who should be told to fuck off!

He's like Nigel Farage. Thinks that they're doing well because their big mate has won...

I'm sure she put them right with one of her trademark putdowns. Personally, I regard telling Piers Morgan to 'fuck off' as just another reason she's a brilliant role model for *my* daughters. :)

Rowling v Morgan is so unfair intellectually but I enjoy it anyway.

Same here. If only he'd stuck to punching Piers Morgan, he'd still be employed by the BBC...

Hermione vs. Crabbe.

(I could give you a run-down of his past, but I don't want to put you off your lunch/dinner.)

That he actually has a pic with 45 as his twit pic - so gross!

Sadly that exchange between those guys? Is similar to various exchanges that I've had with Trump supporters or seen with Trump supporters online. It's why I don't discuss it with co-workers who supported him. Many are one-issue voters - and they have blinders on regarding everything else. It's funny, but also scary, in how many people out there support that way of thinking. And they aren't toads like Piers Morgan. That's the rub. It would be easier if they were.

It'd be nice, but no. Piers was always a nasty piece of work. (And much nastier than being a bit mean to talent show competitors. )
Except now, the world is jumping away from it, horrified. I've noticed this with the increasing popularity of shows like the Great British Baking Show, or The Voice, which are more positive and not nasty.
It still makes part of me die, every time I see it called 'the Great British Baking Show' rather than Bake-Off... (I know why the name had to be changed, but it's still awful.) Although yes, good point. Ditto TV shows like Stranger Things, which are all about nostalgia.

Oh aye. Three of my co-workers voted for Brexit, and none of them are horrible racists, and probably never for a second thought how it might impact ME. (Although mostly, I avoid talking politics. For my sanity, and for a good work environment.)
