First of all a Happy Belated Birthday to
spikewriter: The writer who got me hooked on fanfic. Sorry about the lateness, but I'm forever behind these days...
And a little pimp:
awmp posted icons and they're just amazingly fabulous! I mean just look at the one I'm using! *loves*
RL is swamping me at the moment - it's Little Miss M's birthday on Sunday and she's having a sleepover Friday/Saturday, so that should keep me nicely busy! Oh and I think the washing machine is broken... Good thing that we've got plenty of alcohol in the house!
I've also got fic and a post about AtS that I'll post once I've stopped hating rich text with quite the fiery passion it inspired in me today. I might end up doing the HTML manually, even though it takes *so* much longer, because at least I know where I am. *glowers*
And I've got to run... Oh - I had a really bizarre and fascinating dream about Jasmine last night. Nothing to add to that really, just felt like spamming you!
ETA: This is very funny: The Complex and Terrifying Reality of Star Wars Fandom, because there are a lot of general truths about any fandom...

Gina Torres Jasmine, or the little girl on last night's Torchwood? Or the flower?

I'm still trying to work out how to get LJ user links to appear within a paragraph like you did - every time I try, the link wants to appear in a separate paragraph by itself...

Well I did mine manually (which I usually do, if the post is short - it makes life simpler), but the way around the bizarre new lines around user names is to go back and save it as plain text. Although this can make a cut disappear as I discovered this afternoon...
