She never did answer his question, did she?

No. No she didn't.

But it's challenging a whole mindset, and she is so sure she is right. She doesn't see herself as racist, and fundmentally doesn't understand how inherently biased the system is.

However, nothing will every change without talking to people like that. Hopefully make them examine things a little closer, one tiny step at a time.

Here's to wishing that that questions keeps nagging at her.
