I'm slow, but I get there. Finally got round to Phoenix Unbound, which is beautiful and poetic and exactly what a fic of that episode should be. Pulled a handful of favourite lines (which was awkward since ff.net won't let me copy, wft?!):

A voice in the air, an echo in his hearts, letters and questions in white, the teacher standing by the blackboard, the chalk urging him on.
Just love your use of language, it fits beautifully, and captures everything just right.
