Swift post-debate stuff

NYmag: Andrew Sullivan liveblogged the debate

Vox: How Hillary Clinton lured Donald Trump’s sexism out into the open
And celebrated with a shimmy.
(Also, all the stuff about constantly double-guessing everything, wondering how it was perceived by others... So true I can't even.)

And the doublestandard is doing well:

Also you should go read Jenna Lowenstein (@just_jenna) and Emmy Bengtson (@EmmyA2).

I think you'll appreciate this Vox article on how Clinton(SMART woman) set a trap for Donald re:Alicia Merchado that he blundered into like a fool.

If Donald is umwilling to do the work of preparing for a debate, why in the world should I expect him to do the hard, tedious work that comes with the presidency?

And if he can't handle himself for 90 minutes in a debate, how I can expect him to represent the US and hold himself together at a peace summit or negotiations table?

The only way someone could not have seen it would be by having their head under a rock for the past year.

Ergh, I hit publish before I typed my reply! In short, yes, very much so.

I'm just amazed this is coming as a shock to anyone. I've abhorred the man since the 1980's when he first became a public name. I kept hoping he'd go away; he struck me as an arrogant, nasty piece of work who treated other people like chattel. But other celebrities (media, talk show hosts etc) wouldn't see that because by and large he was nice to them.
