The music is indeed quite beautiful. There are lots of versions on youtube, but this is the one we use in our church and this seems to be the ONLY recording there is. I was so pleased to find it! :)
But I have to say, it's such a strange experience for me to listen to a religious hymn and to immediately understand everything like I'm talking to someone, and not having to mentally translate half the words to get the meaning! That is the upside of an universal church... :)
They are kind of connected but since it's not like, CHRISTMAS or something, the religious part is a bit overshadowed because there are parades and the like all over the place, so good luck going to church. Interesting. I did not know that.
I mean, my younger sister had quite logically wondered when she was little "Why is it always Easter and they bring out all the candles, and they ring the bells, and everyone is chanting etc every time we go to church?" :) Heh. I think that is fairly normal... (That said, we go every week. Good Cath'lics, us.)
