I've read that first story on Tumblr!

And I'm almost more inclined to believe the second one - I'm not sure Doctorate rules are that strict, but I wouldn't put it past them. The rules will have been made by men, of course, and be centuries old...

What about this entry? Not about women but about chool children who die because the school takes away their asthma spray and does not give it to them in time because of regulations.

Good grief! There was a (true) story about a school that took away a blind kid's stick because they were worried others would fall over it. :(

Sometimes I think the whole world has gone crazy and you and I and our families probably are the last sane persons left.

I hope there was an outcry and the child got her stick back?

How can a nurse stand by and watch a child suffocate without doing anything? Not even call an ambulance? How can they be more afraid of losing their job for doing something wrong, instead of doing the RIGHT thing - save a child? I really don't get it. Especially as the article also says that all states have laws for that. So the schools make different laws than what the state law is?

Well there was a dinner lady who got fired for feeding kids even if they hadn't paid. She (quite rightly) couldn't stand by and watch them go hungry, and I hope she got her job back!
