DW 9.07. The Zygon Invasion

This is going to be extremely short...

First of all this, from Tumblr, because it made me laugh:

What I really want to happen is for Tentoo to somehow get back to the original universe and the Doctor almost hyperventilates and keeps screaming ‘HYBRID!!!! YOU ARE A HYBRID!!! HYBRIDHYBRIDHYBRIDHYBRIDHYBRIDHYBRIDHYBRID!!’ and Tentoo just stands there like what the fuck happened to me
(x)

Last time I had a short post, it was due to a lack of mirrors. This time there are almost too many, and I shall have to wait until we've seen part two to actually tackle any of it. It's not that I don't have thoughts, they just... refuse to become coherent.

For now, I shall just leave you with this:

Osgoods

Claras

12s

Zygons wear other peoples' faces, the mirroring built in. But this time, the Doctor is also wearing someone else's face... In conclusion: Everyone is a mirror. And everyone's a hybrid.

I have a selective memory so I not one hundred percent sure. She probably did. My attention was divided by the scarf, bow tie and converse sneakers,so my mind was all over the place.:D

Eleven would have looked at Osgood's footwear and thought... "Sand shoes?".

*Guffaw* She's got ALL THE STYLE...but you know...sandshoes

LOL. Thanks for the laugh.:D

The Doctor really enjoyed making fun of himself, didn't he?. I like that bit when "The War Doctor" asks if his going through a mid-life crisis.

I notice people complaining about Twelve with his guitar and they consider that a mid-life crisis. Wasn't the fact that the Doctor had previously regenerated into a younger looking man twice, already a sign of that?.

Although on a serious note. Did the Tenth Doctor use his screwdriver to make his converse lighter?. I'm only asking because I went window shopping once and found out that those shoes are heavy. That would not be ideal for running. I know they are popular though. Zachery Levi wore those on "Chuck".

You are quite welcome! One of my favs scenes, really. :D

He truly did!! My goodness they can snark! And it was hilarious that the 'youngest' of them looked the oldest and vice-versa! A real treat, that!

OMG. It is NOT a mid-life crisis. Blew past that at Ten (AGAIN), lol!! Eleven was downright crotchety. :D Twelve is enjoying being a rebellious teen again, if one stops the think on it. And I love his guitar.

They ARE heavy!! Methinks the Doctor definitely lightened them. Though...if you think about that phrasing too hard, it makes the giggles come back 'The Doctor lightened his loafers sandshoes.' *CACKLES*

I just think it's strange that Twelve gets criticized in this way because he looks middle age or the fact that he is refereed to as "old man" since he doesn't look "pretty" or a man in his thirties, early forties anymore. I've never used the term myself. The show or other people have.

Eleven seemed to have the upper hand in teasing Ten:
*Matchstick man
*Too skinny, this (gestures to himself) is proper skinny.
*And you can take it from him, cos he's really checked.

Ten called him chinny

The "War Doctor" got a few in there too.

I wonder what it would have been liked with Nine?.

I like Twelve with his guitar too. It would be one way he uses his time in the TARDIS because Clara is not always traveling with him.

I considered buying a pair of converse but I lifted it and I thought I better stick to another brand like Sketchers or something.

Thanks for the feedback.:)

Well, if you don't factor in his new set of regens, he is an old man. Called him that myself...when he was Eleventy. Now I call him 'young punk', lol!!

He did!! And took rather a delight in it, too. Though, to give Ten credit, it had been a while since he'd had a back and forth with a Companion.

It would have been more epic if Nine could have come...goodness, the stuff they all would have tossed around!!

Anytime!

I don't mind the term "old man" as a sign of respect or endearment. What I don't like is when it is used as an insult. However since it is used on the show both ways, I will try not to be annoyed by it. Negative information tends to get to me and I seldom are able to accept positive feedback. That's probably why it bugged me.

Clara went from saying "those big sad eyes to old man" when referring to the Doctor. I wonder what she would have called Ten?. She missed the chance when she met him. Although there probably wasn't enough time to profile him besides the brief encounter of "nice suit".

The Doctor in general needs a champion to bounce ideas from and for company. Ten was the most lonely. He even forgot Martha had left and was talking to himself before he meet up with Donna again. Even when he did have someone with him, they would still need to help him on his social skills. Now I can picture Ten trying to read one of those self-help books alone in the TARDIS. Being on his own for so long effected him so much that his hair wasn't as Wilf called it, "sticky uppy"

If Nine was there he'd be wondering, "Did I make myself pretty for Rose?".
