I made an error. I think I meant to say that Rose WASN'T happy about getting TenToo as some consolation prize. She was obviously confused and hurt that the Doctor was leaving her behind on a beach again!. Oh I got that! :)
TenToo has Donna's DNA, so he was suppose to have her aspirations to settle down. Here's to hoping. Although I've written a good bit about the two of them. I think they're interesting.
Sometimes I think it is not ideal to make comparisons between Rose and Buffy because the latter had different life experiences and that contributed to her being more mature than Rose, even though they are about the same age. Also Buffy is the main hero, and Rose - a lot of the time - is the one who helps.
Especially after seeing how Clara deals with the same scenario. But once again. Different people can have different reactions to the same situation. I'd say the situations are rather different - I've no idea how Rose would cope with Twelve. Certainly not as brusque as he was initially. (That's an interesting thought though...)
Then the next source of conflict had to be around a girl. Not that Fred is just some girl but why couldn't they just get on without a major issue?. Oh, the drama! Well, then Wesley stole Angel's son, so there *were* other things. ;)
