I made an error. I think I meant to say that Rose WASN'T happy about getting TenToo as some consolation prize. She was obviously confused and hurt that the Doctor was leaving her behind on a beach again!. TenToo has Donna's DNA, so he was suppose to have her aspirations to settle down.
Sometimes I think it is not ideal to make comparisons between Rose and Buffy because the latter had different life experiences and that contributed to her being more mature than Rose, even though they are about the same age.
I can understand Rose being shocked when the Doctor changed into a different man. After he finally saves the day, she is willing to believe in him again. I think the fact she still found him attractive was a bonus for her. Especially after seeing how Clara deals with the same scenario. But once again. Different people can have different reactions to the same situation.
Wesley and Gunn didn't get along at first. It had to take Angel going AWOL for them to be so "chummy". Then the next source of conflict had to be around a girl. Not that Fred is just some girl but why couldn't they just get on without a major issue?. Oh, the drama!.
