"Ah. Sorry, my mind always goes to symbolism."

No worries. It's good to see things from different perspectives.

"I think of Corey Hart: Sunglasses at Night. :)"
I thought of that too, but I think that line in "Cooler than me"-"You got designer shades, Just to hide your face ..."(like he did at first with hugs - hide his face suits him. The Eleventh Doctor wore "Sunglasses at night" in "Hungry Earth". The Tenth Doctor in "Planet of the Dead" sonic's his spectacle lenses black.

"This is actually addressed within the episode:"

I have a tendency to state the obvious. I though that conversation between Clara and the Doctor was pretty "nail on the head". I should have rephrased it differently or not bother to refer to it. I blame lack of sleep.

"Ooooh yes. (I don't dislike her at all. But she was front & centre, even when she wasn't.)"

I really liked her relationship with the Ninth Doctor and because she was so young I disregarded her selfish/immature behavior because that's a flaw anybody can have. However, I was disappointed when I couldn't see her relationship with the Doctor as healthy anymore. It compromised Martha's and Donna's story arc as well. She imprinted on the Doctor like nobody's business. That and because Rusty wrote it that way.

"Well, he was the one to abandon Jack... Which was pretty shitty. With Amy, the Doctor knew he had screwed up her life, and went about trying to fix her as best he could. Yes he abandoned her, but it was an accident."

I was annoyed with how Jack was mistreated by the Tenth. He only said sorry when Jacks unconscious. In Torchwood you literally see what poor Jack had to endure waiting to find the right time to find the Doctor hoping he could fix him.:(

I thought Jack handled himself well considering how mean the Doctor was being. Then Rose gets mentioned and it's all hugs?. This is why I'm conflicted when it comes to the Tenth Doctor. All I can remember is him making a decision on the grounds of not liking something and because he could.

Amy had a right to be tick off too but at least the Eleventh Doctor handled that better. Learning from past experience?. Probably.

Isn't it ironic that now when the Twelfth Doctor had good intentions for giving someone immortality even though he should have known they would be dire consequences, he is made accountable for it. Yes, he was desperate not to lose someone else but because Ashildr was not a fixed point like Adelaide in "Waters of Mars" he thought it would be fine.

Maybe he should have consulted Jack further on the consequences of being immortal but in a way the Doctor should have considered this himself because after all his biology allows him to have a long life span. Funny how the Doctor can still manage to stay ignorant despite his knowledge.
