In other news I've promised to take my girls to see the new Ghostbusters when it comes out. They're quite excited. They've never seen the original, so this will be 'their' Ghostbusters. <3

Sorry to hear how this all went -- definitely worrying for everyone. And I'll be seeing Ghostbusters in the theater too, I want to support it. It's fun to remember that for some it will be the "original" :)

I've had far too many emotions today. None of them pleasant.

Although yes - Ghostbusters will be good. The 10 year old literally didn't care beyond 'It's got women as the lead characters' ("Films ALWAYS HAVE ALL BOYS! That's why I like Sailor Moon, it's all girls.") /proud mother of bb!feminist

Mad Max: Fury Road IS the original for me too :-)

The Force Awakens is better than any of the original movies, which always lost me emotionally because Luke cared more about Ben Kenobi getting killed than his parents; his Real parents who got killed. Always hated that triumphalist ending and usually switch the movie off before that makes me feel a little ill.
