Whats more awkward is when I'm in a situation with where I have to make small talk and I get ask why I'm not in a relationship.
I wish society wouldn't put such a premium on being a couple. Better to be single, than an unhappy couple. Plus there are a lot of single people...

I always have to bring up my personal background with being a carer, then I have to mention my dad etc. I just wish I could talk about something a bit more uplifting when I socialise.
