Hygiene *is* setting the bar low - but at least easy to spot. The other one is more difficult... (I was unfeasibly lucky to meet Darcy when I was young.)

James Bond doesn't acknowledge that his face changes. Whereas the Doctor has a reason for it.
Neither does Sherlock Holmes. It depends on the context.

There is "sexual tension" between the Doctor and the female champion. Maybe with Donna it was just tension?.
