Time to embarrass the child
GCSE results came out today. Miss M got two Bs - in Art (she had an awful teacher and lost interest) and Further Maths (which she never liked or enjoyed). As for the other 10 subjects...
A*s across the board.
She said she'd stage a protest if we made a fuss of her, so of course we had the whole family round tonight! :) Plenty of food, and Darcy had made a cake that said 'All hail the glow cloud'. (Nightvale reference.) And I'd bought baby blue paper plates/cups/napkins that said 'Happy 1st birthday'. She felt loved. ♥

You guys should get "Parenting Done Right" tee-shirts. (Maybe with pictures of the Ponds on them. XD)

And I'll ask her what she thinks... (We're definitely the odd ones out, when it comes to parents. F.ex. their friends will do that thing of 'omg imagine if our mums had Tumblrs!' and my girls just go, 'um, don't have to imagine...'
So. Overall good, I think.

And oh yes she will. When she enrolled for her college, they kept talking to her about Oxford & Cambridge. She found this somewhat premature. ;)

So, a couple of easy years ahead. ;)

Then again, I did my last 2 years of highschool doing the International Baccalaureate which isn't British at all (although the head office is in Cardiff, of all places).
But wow, clever kid you have there. Most of that would likely have gone wildly over my head. It's good to be interested in politics at her age, though. What's she want to do with life?

That's a thing they're thinking about here as well...

Oh yes, smart kid. (She's very happy there'll be no more maths!)
