Promo pictures and other things.
1. Missy's outfit looks a lot like she is doing a female cosplay of Eleven.
2. What's up with Handles? (Someone suggested Handles was a Clara echo that had been converted. I like this idea a lot. Clara is EVERYONE!) Although why the deliberate shout-out [in the most recent promo]? There must be a reason.
3. Missy and the Doctor look wonderfully couple-y. This pleases me.
4. Missy's Victorian look - right down to the umbrella - is very Victorian!Clara.
Sidebar: Missy is 'The Gatekeeper of the Nethersphere'. Last we saw the Master he was all about the Immortality Gate. I admit this is a VERY tenuous connection. However, we have had a more recent mention of the Master:
DOCTOR: Yes. If you were trying to break through a wall, you'd choose the weakest spot. If you were trying to break into this universe, you'd choose this crack, because. No. If you were trying to break back into this universe. (to Handles) You said Gallifrey. Why did you say Gallifrey?
HANDLES: Analysis of message composition indicates Gallifreyan origin, according to TARDIS databanks.
CLARA: You said Gallifrey was gone.
DOCTOR: No. I said it was in another universe. The message is coming through here. The truth field is too, at a guess. If it's the Time Lords. If it's the Time Lords.
(He takes a large round item from his trouser pocket.)
DOCTOR: Seal of the High Council of Gallifrey. Nicked it off the Master in the Death Zone. (Five Doctors) There is an algorithm imprinted in the atomic structure. Use it to decode the message.
(He puts the Seal on Handle's forehead.)
In this one image we have Handles, the Master, the Doctor and Gallifrey [the crack]... I want this to be significant. (Nice little gifset here showing how he pockets the Seal.)

owlsie for making the connection.) This is also where her fear of getting lost first became real:
I used to be terrified of getting lost. Used to have nightmares about it. And then I got lost. Blackpool beach, Bank holiday Monday, about ten billion people. I was about six. My worst nightmare come true.

Water was of course a major metaphor during the Pond era, and Clara was - in Day of the Doctor - 'the Witch of the Well'.
Both of our first introductions to Clara (Asylum, the Snowmen) took place in snowy places (snow is frozen water, water symbolises time) - and we had snow again in Time of the Doctor when Clara was static in time whilst the Doctor aged. The Snowmen is most interesting thanks to the frozen governess, who was a 'blueprint' for the GI's future plans. The governess was obviously a dark mirror, but how far does that mirror reflect? Does that frozen pond reach all the way to Dark Water?
Otherwise we've not had an abundance of water imagery. There was Cold War, and Clara (and Robin) jumped/were pulled into the lake in Robot of Sherwood. In Deep Breath Vastra's chamber is pretty much a complete mirror of Missy's garden - right down to the fountain with the running water... (Does Vastra somehow mirror Missy?) The moon contained water, which was a sign of life/change...
