Update
Hello there. Actual update thing under the cut...
- Operation Clean All The Things is... going pretty well. Going back to work Monday, but have tidied all rooms except for two bedrooms (am working on one, but it's a big job... SO MANY TOYS). And the rest of the house is BEAUTIFUL. The kitchen looks like it belongs in someone else's house. (The cupboards still needs sorting, but at least the rest is OK. And it's sort of Darcy's area as he's the chef.)
- Saturday we went round to the in-laws and saw b-i-l's slideshow/video from his stint at the South Pole. (The girls were slightly incredulous. "Like they do in the movies/on TV shows? But for real?" *g*) ALL THE FAMILY were there (Darcy has four siblings, 3 of them married w/kids) and there were children EVERYWHERE (10 grandkids now, age between 7 months and 15 years), and a barbeque in the garden. LOVELY day. <3
- Easter Monday we went to Gawthorpe to watch The World Coal-Carrying Championships. It was lovely and sunny, there was a hotdog/curry stand and a brass band and I was slightly worried I'd end up sprouting a flat cap. *g*
- Yesterday Miss M had four of her crazy friends sleeping over (yes we slept 5 teenagers on 3 mattresses - no idea how they fitted, but they didn't complain). These are the crazy Doctor Who fan girls, who have their own little AU/RPG all based around Day of the Doctor. (ETA: Example - Hurt!Doctor is married to a teacup called Helena. I didn't call them 'crazy' for nothing.) I had to put out the Cyberman & the Doctor big cutouts [that I drew/created some years ago for the summer fair for the local community centre] for when they arrived. (Our neighbours must think we are insane...) One of them brought the DVD of Frozen (which I might have forgotten to mention that we finally saw in the cinema a few weeks ago), so we pulled out our projector and they happily watched that, singing along with most of the songs. Before & after they watched Doctor Who & Sherlock on the TV. Really they were no bother at all - today they were even very quiet as they spent a lot of time 'talking' to each other on Facebook with their phones.
- Have UTTERLY failed to write fic/meta. Have good drafts of both, but they've been completely uncooperative. (But I DID redo my LJ layout to be spring-time-y.)
- Have however begun to get to grips with typology, and in case anyone's interested I am an INFJ. (Like Clara. This is very unusual, I have NEVER had an avatar on TV before.)
- Watched the first episode of Fargo and liked it.
- Speaking of Frozen, two links for you:
It's Not Just Frozen: Most Disney Movies Are Pro-Gay
Does It Matter If the Heroine of 'Brave' Is Gay? (No, but it matters that she could be.)

I LOVE this about Miss M's friends :D Your girl has real-life fellow fan friends! (All the alliterations too!) This is just so delightful ^_^ Decent teenagers ftw, because good parenting wins at everything and sensible kids are real. *airpunch* (Yes, I'm fresh out of teenage years and always very annoyed by teenage stereotypes and it shows ;P)
Great stuff about Frozen and Brave ♥

Is that an earthquake?
Or am I that scared, and thrilled, by the prospect.
Hard to tell.
:-)

Clearly my brain can't cope with cleaning AND writing. But I'll get there. I always do.

She has great friends - all a bit odd, but happy being odd, and none of them are the least bit interested in being 'popular'.

Isn't it just? It made me very happy. :)

LOL! I don't know if they'd go for a female Doctor, to be honest. Will have to ask her.

Either way, then they've thoroughly appropriated the show for themselves. :)
The future is probably in safe hands! (Impish Girl otoh wants to be the Companion. And as she is aiming to be an actor, you never know...)

You will! Can't do everything ;)

Good for her! ♥♥♥

Me too! Best message to send kids ♥

The kids are alright! (They're daft, and sometimes thoughtless, in the way of teenagers, but they're lovely and no bother at all.)
Those are great links about Brave and Frozen :D
I've vaguely thought about them along those lines, but not in any detail, so the fact that these are Actual Things That Are Being Discussed makes me very happy. :)

I... can't remember where that even came from. And one of them is The Moment, so only Hurt!Doctor can see her, and then he lets something slip about 'Bad Wolf' so the one who is Ten hangs around *pining* and asking questions... *g*
Good luck with everything else!
Thank you! :D

But I sure can try!

That makes me happy! I know it's been a rough time for you, am sending you all my hugs! <3 <3 <3
I'm sorry about the ficcing
I'll get there. It's just being stupid. *glares*
intrigued about the parallels with Clara though.
I Am Clara! (Which explains a) why I never had problems understanding her and b) why she is difficult to understand, as she is a very private sort of person.)
And doubly intrigued by the links about Disney! OUaT has a few lesbian (Mulan) and bi (Aurora) characters - and though Rumple is seen mainly with women, there have been hints that he is not adverse to male company. So yeah...interesting.
The Disney stuff really made me happy. Hope it's all deliberate. And have heard good stuff about OUAT on that front. (No married inter-species crime-fighting lesbians though... But then you can't have everything. *g*)

Mmmm...patience. LOL! I know, I'm one to talk. But patience is sometimes all that is required.
There ya go!
Well...not every show can gave it all, lol!!

Always my pleasure. (I've been following from a distance. *hugs*)

I can't count how often I've opened that document, changed two words and then left it open for 3 hours doing nothing... Although I *did* manage to make it hang together properly. Mind you, I think I have to re-write parts of it, so...
Anyway, am off to bed. Goodnight! <3

Mmmm, well I know the ending draft will be stellar. I have every confidence, I mean...how can it NOT be stellar? *NODS*
G'night, m'dear (waaaayyy late, lol!) I hope you rested well.

I'm an Intj! I think that means we are supposed to get along well.

Your Saturday with the fam sounds incredibly chaotic, but nice.
Aww Miss M and her friends sound awesome. So cool that she has friends to share her fandom geekery with.

They are the loveliest people, I have the BEST in-laws. <3 (I am an only child, all this FAMILY is wonderful.)

They are happily crazy. And I am pleased she's not alone & bullied!

Your confidence is... Well, now it HAS to be stellar. (Or something like.)
And yes, I slept very well, thank you. <3
Jelena (as it is known)
We have an eleven, a ten, a Clara, a Hurt and the Moment in our little rp session. A very early rp resulted in John (we tend to use real names for some reason) making a lot of tea, which resulted in him 'marrying' a teacup hurriedly called Helena.
She's my own character now and a human companion, so I have two characters I write simultaneously. John for best Doctah!
There. Explanation over. Jelena for President.
