I hope so. And of course I have to watch him in action (Because some clothes work on some people and not on others) it's just that I loved the previous shoes XD I liked both the converse and Eleventh's boots.
Like a_phoenixdragon says below 'I'm guessing whatever the suit lacks, the Doctor will 'fill in' personality-wise!' - and the shoes... Well, how long will they STAY shiny, that's the question. *g*
I saw this on FB and the shoes got me excited the most - I love LOVE that sewn pattern!<3 I didn't even notice they're shiny, ahahahah, I thought they're just new.. I also appreciate the red lining of the coat! I can't wait to see him in action!
I saw it by accident, but I'm kinda glad I did! Simple, yet elegant. Very telling (the things that are missing) and I'm guessing whatever the suit lacks, the Doctor will 'fill in' personality-wise!
Very telling (the things that are missing) Indeed.
and I'm guessing whatever the suit lacks, the Doctor will 'fill in' personality-wise! LOL. Yes, you're probably right. And Nine's outfit was far more stark, so I'm sure it'll be fine.
And Nine's outfit was far more stark, so I'm sure it'll be fine. Nine's outfit came to mind to me too. Every other Doctor had . . . something of interest.
It looks nice, yeah. I love the lining! (I just want to stick a ridic cardie or a cat pin or something in there, but that'll undoubtedly pass when we see the outfit on the show, at which point such things just will seem wrong.)
(Oh, yes, so very much. Elevennnn. And since we're talking about clothes: have you seen this art? No question who any of them are, but Eleven's is just so... Eleven.)
I've seen some photos from the filming today. The costume works. It's somewhere in the evolutionary process of New Who. The Doctor has tended to dress more eccentric than alien in recent years.
It's that back & forth... Like Moffat said about Four - he had eccentricity down to a fine art. And then Five came along and was just completely down to earth and earnest. You need that switch. And after Eleven, you really couldn't go for eccentricity without it seeming like a rip-off...

Don't say that to his face, he'll rip you a new one... :D
New Cossie!
(Anonymous) 2014-01-27 08:47 pm (UTC)(link)It very much puts me in mind of Three's outfit, minus the frills. Three has always been my favorite Doctor, so this is especially fun for me.
It's just occurred to me that he is technically the fourteenth incarnation, and his first series is running in 2014.
