More miscellaneous.
From the BBC: An Evening With Steven Moffat.
(20 minutes long, and very lovely. Although I hope you get interrupted less often than I did, trying to listen to/watch it. Why must the whole family want to talk to me when I am having some peace & quiet?)
Also from the BBC: Amiir and Family: Somalis in Norway. (The story of one family. Go look, trust me. Will make you smile.)
Via my flist: The Power of Poppies on Veteran's Day (Blog post by American soldier currently stationed in Britain.)

(Anonymous) 2013-11-13 12:49 pm (UTC)(link)Anyway, I spotted the mention of Amiir and family. I was going to send you that link, but the other I tried got treated as spam. Lovely story that. Going to bookmark that as soon as I'm able.
If you type 'Hundreds attend war veteran's funeral after newspaper ad' into the search box on the BBC website you should get the links to a story which caught my eye.
Anyway, hope Miss M overcomes her temporary madness and returns to the Dr. Who fold, but I'm sure you'll enjoy seeing the 50th thing on the big screen whoever is there with you.
Best of wishes,
Ray.

I loved the idea of Matt Smith being a young man assembled by old men from memory!!! Moffat nailed it.

Really sweet, and very important. Figured you'd have seen it too! :)

Oh, I heard about it on the news. Things like that rekindles faith in humanity.

I'm sure she will - as far as I can tell, the madness is called 'being a teenager'. And as she's otherwise a lovely girl, I shan't complain...

(Anonymous) 2013-12-13 02:23 pm (UTC)(link)Might try and write some xmas fics for you and the fam. Give me a couple of ideas of shows everyone is into and I'll do my best.
Rewatched the end two-parter of NuWho S5 again the other day; also the end two-parter of S2 of Buffy.
I mention that only because a fic idea arose in my mind. No clues beyond your own knowledge of those foru eps.
;-)
Ray.

Looking forward to fic if/when they appear. Although I'm out of ideas... If I get one, I'll let you know!
And oh, the S5 finale is just wonderful! ♥ Absolutely magical. I love happy endings. And now I'm intrigued what could possibly link *that* two parter and the end of Buffy S2!
