I just booked tickets to see The Day of the Doctor at my local cinema! I feel somewhere between these two gifs:





(A few weeks ago when tickets were first released I checked, but there was nothing locally... AND NOW THERE IS AND I AM GOING! Along with Impish Girl & the Cherub. Miss M is a heathen and has already committed herself to a completely different [all-day] event, and Darcy is being kind and not going, as he'd only bitch about it.)

I thought about seeing it at the cinema, but ... I've gotten used to watching it at 3am in the morning, seems wrong to do it another way. And I'm lazy.

This was me too. Doctor Who belongs on my laptop screen, twelve inches from my face. Even watching it on a tv is weird, which I will be doing since that's actually going to be the fastest way to get it.

What the heck do people do before watching Doctor Who if they're not waiting for Doctor Who to download and anxiously peeking at their flist to get people's reactions?

I am completely jealous. The closest theater that is showing the episode day of is 700 miles away. The episode will be airing in theaters within a few miles of where I live on the Monday AFTER of course, but since I am going to be on my way to Italy that day (first time ever leaving the USA!) that is a no go.

It has been a pain trying to find a way to see the episode especially since BBC America is only available on more expensive cable plans around here. (I really really wish we could get channels a la carte or at least pay per view to stream on BBC America's site or something...but no it will most likely end up being a download for me.)

On the plus side - Italy! That makes up for a lot.

And it's weird getting everything at the right time. When I followed Buffy we got everything MONTHS after America...

I haz a 21st the night before. Half the 21st is booked in to the same cinema nearby to see doc who on the big screen. Then we are having an epic after party. Who themed of course. Best. Weekend.
