I saw this yesterday morning and was set to comment in the evening and then promptly forgot. Sorry. No worries. I worked an 11 hour day yesterday. Don't think I was conscious at the end of it.
Now that the apologies are over, I can flail a bit over this chapter. So much character development in such a short space. All the realizations and declarations made me giddy. I loved every one of them. I especially liked seeing how much both Allison and Alex were willing to do for each other.
♥ ♥ ♥ It's partly because I spent so much time/space on what they were doing separately - they both came to new understandings, and had had time to reflect on where they were, and what they wanted/needed from the relationship. So they were both a little older and wiser and able to take stock properly.
I can't wait to see where things go from here, although I'm a bit sad to see this journey come to an end. Then again, this is a sign of a well told story, so it's a good feeling in the end. Awww, thank you. I'm glad it was a worthwhile journey.
PS: I might of shed bitter shipper tears at the idea of 'cookie dough' My OTP!! //wails I quite simply couldn't help myself... It was too good an analogy to pass up. Partly the fact that Allison isn't ready to properly commit (after all, she's 21, and it's a big decision), and partly the fact that she'll age and he won't ('I'm not getting any older'). Mind you, they're not very Bangel like in any other aspect... *g*
