Angels...

Thoughts I wanted to put down before the episode airs...

The Doctor: "Fascinating race, the Weeping Angels. The only psychopaths in the universe to kill you nicely. No mess, no fuss, they just zap you into the past and let you live to death. The rest of your life used up and blown away in the blink of an eye. You die in the past, and in the present they consume the energy of all the days you might have had, all your stolen moments. They're creatures of the abstract. They live off potential energy."

The Doctor: "That's why they cover their eyes. They're not weeping, they can't risk looking at each other. Their greatest asset is their greatest curse. They can never be seen. The loneliest creatures in the universe. [...] The blue box, it's my time machine. There is a world of time energy in there they could feast on forever. The damage they can do can switch off the sun. You have got to send it back to me!"

The poster for this episode made me think, because it likens the Doctor to the Angels. Because oh, isn't that what he does too? Lives off people? He's stolen ten years of the Pond's lives already (more if you count all the alternative dimensions)... All in the nicest possible way.

Anyway, my other thought is this - I have NO idea what will happen to the Ponds, but what would be fitting is if they were lost in time, completely. Able to live out their lives happily, yet lost forever - like Rose in Pete's world, but with time rather than dimensions. Mind you, I don't know how that would work.

SPOILERS!!!!

I am good. *points up* (and/or this was terribly obvious *g*). Also sad, but happy satisfied. *sniffles quietly*

Mostly though... such a good episode. STORIES! Stories, stories, stories, stories...

Thank you Santa Moff. It hurt, but it was worth it. Oh, The Story of Amelia Pond. <3

(Mind you, Eleven's face. Eleven's face is the thing that'll break me when I rewatch. Oh and he runs to that last page, and it is giving him hope and something to do and it's the most beautiful echo of the Library episodes - someone make a vid with Ten and Eleven running to find that last missing piece.)

He loses them, his Pond women, but they leave something behind for him. ♥
