::deeeeeep sigh::

Can you hear that? What might you ask? It's the sound... of silence! These two weeks have been impossibly long. I nearly posted a rant last night, but the internet died as I was about to post, so consider yourselves lucky. ;)

Anyway, I'm frightfully busy trying to tidy two week's worth of mess, but the fact that there are NO CONSTANT INTERRUPTIONS makes it almost enjoyable.

See I am a very solitary creature. Or rather I can't function if I don't get a certain amount of peace and quiet. This might be because of being an only child, I don't know. *shrugs*

In other news the baby is learning to master crawling - she's currently doing a funny sort of forwards wriggle, but she's definitely getting places! :)

But I have to go - I'll be back later with my Slayer theories...

There were some very interesting replies, although it always surprises me how some people take things very literally and seriously indeed, completely missing the central metaphors.

Ditto. And all this constant noise everywhere is getting on my nerves. People yapping on cellphones everywhere (and I mean everywhere), doctor's offices with blaring televisions, my dentist even has a television in the room they work on you - when will it end! .
When I get home these days I rarely turn on the television, I just enjoy the quiet.

Thankfully our neighbourhood is fairly peaceful. But I can actually cope well with noise, as long as it isn't directed at me! Two weeks of having children *constantly* chattering to me and asking me questions nearly drove me barmy! ::takes deep claming breath::

But yeah, quiet is gooooooooood! (I just got the babay to sleep. The next hour or so is ALL MINE!)

And I'm enjoying everything muchly - except I *have* to tidy since it's Impish Girl's 5th birthday on Monday and the party is on Sunday.
Good weather: Garden party
Bad weather: OMG I need to have their bedroom tidy! Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!

So - I can relax properly on... next tuesday. :)
