Torchwood: The Lost Files. (The Devil and Miss Carew.)

The radio play isn't terribly compelling (I'm being generous); I had even forgotten when it was Ianto's death day the other day; but wow is this making my heart clench.
It's not a very good story. It's just... average. An average day for Team Torchwood. And that's what I've lost. That's what I'll never ever get back. Miracle Day is all well and good (and I'm mildly curious to see what it's going to be like) - but it's not my show. This was.
*deep sigh*
Anyway, I was also struck by this delightful bit of dialogue, as Jack and Ianto encounter a locked metal door:
Jack: "Times like this I wish I'd nabbed that old sonic screwdriver!"
Ianto: "M-Hm. [there's sounds of fiddling about] There's a lot you can do with a Swiss Army knife!"
Partly because it reminded me of this lovely fic:
Oneupmanship bytanarian. Summary: The Doctor has Companions, but Jack has a Ianto. (Ten, Donna, Jack, Ianto)
(I miss my show... My silly, daft, over-the-top, a bit rubbish show. Which had Ianto. And the Hub. And was just homely. I think it's actually that S1-2 were show/character driven, and S3 - and 4 - are/were story driven. Like movies. And movies are only ever a holiday, not somewhere to live.)
I've only listened to the first one so far - please don't spoil me for #2! Or Miracle Day.
