Being Human, 3.1.

Finally managed to watch it, and my most overwhelming emotion is THANK YOU! There is still one issue that I'm waiting to see how they'll tackle, but my biggest gripe with the end of S2 was tackled head-on, without pulling any punches, and yeah, I loved it!

It also amused me that clearly *someone* has watched Buffy - is that a Spike-clone I spy? Also RHYS!!!! HELLO RHYS!!! Does your wife know that you're out dogging? *laughs* I thought I'd miss Bristol, but Wales will do, oh yes. It's like my second home. :)

Anyway, George and Nina were adorbz, Annie was still in damsel mode (rather inevitably, so I'm not too bothered) and Mitchell... Oh Mitchell. I worked out H12, just before he opened that last door, and I could have kissed the TV for making him admit that it was no one's fault but his own, and that he enjoyed it. Like I said: THANK YOU! Liked Lia too, she worked very well. And, actually, I'm beginning to see why they brought Herrick back. Still deeply dislike the 'how', but if we're going to be looking into Mitchell's past it makes sense. Also lots of nice hints about future storylines. Yay, I have a show again!

But I must run. *scurries*

ETA: Also really, really liked that when Mitchell got going with the guilt & responsibility (I have to stay here, right? Take me to all my victims...) he swiftly got told that it wasn't all about him, and that he was needed for someone else's story. \o/

Plus, I realised that I forgot to mention Robson Green, and the v. intriguing father/son werewolf story. Hope this goes somewhere good. *crosses fingers*

I saw bits of s3 when it aired in Australia last year and was so intrigued I watched s1 which was the greatest thing ever but then I didn't really enjoy s2. s3 is possible even better than s1. HOLY HECK CONSEQUENCES!

I feel more and more like we have similar tastes in drama! I tend to prefer strong thematic stories and I think that's why s2 didn't work for me - it was too all over the shop and not enough about being human.

I hear you on not watching past s3 - I really liked the ending and it just is such a *perfect* thematic end point to me.

In other news - I really want to watch Buffy. Started watching Wire in the Blood which scares the bajesus outta me so I need something less awful!000000
