Is it evening yet?
I am so booored! But since I really can't afford to be sitting here for very long, I'll just write down a few little bits about Doctor Who.
Lots of stuff going on this time. DT was very good - although he does quiet and deadly a lot better than loud and shouty. Or at least the character works better that way. A very enjoyable episode all round (entertaining, but didn't *love* it) - and it was beautiful visually - but I guess the ending was what people took to heart the most? (Haven't read anyone else's thoughts yet.) Personally I liked it. Mickey has been a third wheel (and a bit of a pansy) for almost the entire series, so it's nice that he finally grew a backbone *and* found his own mission.
"I once helped save the world with a big yellow truck." is a fabulous, fabulous line and will be embedded on many icons I hope.
ETA: Also liked that Alt!Pete really didn't want anything to do with Rose (has she finally learned a lesson?) and (having seen people discuss this) I don't think the alternative universe has Alt!Time Lords, since if they used to be able to travel between dimensions that should put them firmly outside them. If that makes sense? (*is tired*)
ETA2: Oh and was I the only one who thought that Pete (with short hair) looked remarkably like Bruce Willis?
See you all later!

My favourite so far was 'The Girl in the Fireplace' by a long way! :)

David Tennant really isn't growing on me.

I rather like DT - but then he does remind me overwhelmingly of an RL friend! *g*

I think BtVS/AtS have just made me too fussy. Nothing else comes anywhere near their standard.

I agree. DT/The Doctor seemed a little over the top this week. And when he made the comment about refering to the guy as a genius if HE wasn't in the room? Oh, puh-leez, get over yourself!

Oh God, I hope so. How many times did the Doctor remind her that those were not her parents? What was her next step going to be? Bring Pete back to her London and make him stay with her Jackie so they could be one big happy family? She was being incredibly selfish here.

She was being incredibly selfish here.
Oh yeah. Although I found Mickey's story a good contrast. Someone pointed out that it wasn't *his* grandma - which is true, but considering he's stepping into Rickey's shoes it's a completely different situation.
I am hopeless at commenting on your posts, but I am always seeking out your 'House' posts after viewing a new ep. Only we're weeks behind over here, sadly.

Love your icon! That was a great line.

My older daughter was watching that episode with me, and she was trying to place the actress. I checked the IMDB, and she realized that she'd seen a movie trailer with her. My daughter remembered because her boyfriend had commented during the trailer that he could tell the actress was English, "Because she has boobs."

Oh and spamming is always welcome!

The Doctor's always been that way. Part of his charm. ;) Also, his ego occasionally gets him into trouble. I'm all a-twitter to see what trouble he'll get into this time.
