Ah Eurovision...

Terry Wogan: And now we come to song 13...
Darcy: 13? Already?
Me: It's been 45 minutes.
Darcy: God - it's like being sucked into a black hole!

Currently I'd say the best ones are Latvia and Germany... how bizarre!

ETA: Lithuania? Bwahahahaha! *So* going to get the British vote.

The UK wasn't too bad - strange.

And Finland is just too ridiculous! *shakes head*

ETA2: How do other countries cope without Terry Wogan? He's been commenting for the UK for ever and ever and is wonderfully cynical!:)

Re. the feathery thing on stage now: "And now the birds are angry - attacking the intruders of Bird Land"

Re. Nana Mouskouri's "In a way everyone's a winner." "That's right - there are no losers in this competition!"

Re. Spain: "Spain just gave up years ago, didn't they?"

Re. the Parthenon, imparting information: "I know stuff!"

*happy sigh*

I think I'll go make some tea and find some biscuits.

I thought Germany were one of the worst lol. Where they the country ones?

We Are The Winners Of Eurovision! *hurts self laughing* They should win

apparently our contribution are the insider tip according to the local yahoo. heeee. I find them strange... to say at least...

Lithuania definitely have my vote. :)

Ahhhrgh! I forgot all about the contest! We love to mock and I just tuned in thanks to your post! *slaps head*

Our commentators are quite refreshingly cynical this year... and I love the Buffy cast on stage right now, although their "hard rock" thingy sounds a lot like lalallalalhalleluja with a deep voice. That's rater melodious in betwenn the monotony there, guys... *sigh*

Hate that the Germans went with Texas. It's not really part of our country, last time I checked...

"Let's hear it for Scandinavia - they'll all be voting for each other anyway!"

Heeeee! And true.

Nana Mousssaka is old. And gained lots of weight since I saw her on a LP cover on the last flea market.

Latvia should win, for sure (I'm just watching the blurbs). But what was that doll they have? Huh?

Finland in the lead? Come on! Fun costumes, but the "rock"? Sucked. IMHO.

And no one voted for Latvia. Oh, well.

Why do I even wtach this?

I think I watch it from sheer need to not think to hard - we just watched "Munich" which was exhausting!

Our guy just talked about a "taste border" that divides Europe. Mmmhhhkay.

[identity profile] mefnord.livejournal.com 2006-05-20 09:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Heeeeeeeee. No taste indeed *shakes head at results so far*

"taste border" as in Scandinavians vote for each other, as do the eastern countries.

I *loved* drunk Dutch guy. And ow cool is it that it's still daytime in Oslo?

Didn't watch it, went to the movies but came back home just to see Finland's victory !

This is funny.

And Finland is just too ridiculous! *shakes head*

Which is why you know it just had to win. *admits to voting for Finland*

I liked the bondage ribbon dancing entry right at the end, and the Twisting Danish girls. We managed to watch Eurovision, CSI NY and Bones taped from the night before all in the same three hours.

We have two computers: A nice iMac in the office, and a 'serviceable' PC in the front room (for children) - right next to the tv!

That's really handy. Our second pc is in the dining room, but I suppose if I moved it a little and really craned my neck I could see the TV. :D I don't usually bother though, because it's so slow compared to the other one I get really frustrated with it.
