Question.

Can anyone remember why it was that Joss decided to do do all the sex stuff in 'Where the Wild Things are'? Something about TV executives trying to tell him what he could and couldn't do? Thank you. :)

:( I don't remember there being a hubbub about WtWTA. I remember reading that stood up for W/T when the execs wanted it toned down or whatever.

I think it was that at the time, the WB executives wouldn't let Willow and Tara share even a chaste little kiss, so in retaliation Joss made a whole episode of Buffy and Riley having sweaty sex. I guess the audience who had to watch the sweaty sex was just collateral damage.;)

Rmours are that Joss wrote WTWTA because of standards and practises on the WB. It's also been suggested that they were asked to write Bear Bad. Something about the WB requesting anti-drugs messages for Government sponsored money. And Bear Bad was intended to be seen as a parody of after-school specials. Hence the ending with "What have we learned today?" FOAMY. "Just as long as that's clear"

I can't remember if any other WB shows had anti-drug messages around the same time though? It may just be fans trying to think up a reason for such terrible episodes *g*
