Freedom feels good! Mmmmm.

Of course there was the 'OMG she looks so *cute*!' moment this morning, upon seeing Impish Girl in her school uniform, and the whole 'I can't believe she's so big already!', but that's just the way life works.

Right now, I'm at home and I don't have to go out until 3 o'clock!!!! And I only have a cute baby to entertain (and housework of course, but we will not speak of that!). (Oh and *this* morning there's also a guy putting in a new window in our bedroom, but apart from that...)

And the sun just came out! Gah! My life is nearing perfection at this moment, surely that can't be good!

I must leave again, but will be back later with fic! (Now if only I can get The Cherub into a good routine with midday naps, maybe I can even get find some writing time!)

Here's a sentimental tip: sometime during the first few days of school each year we try to take a picture of the kids headed out toward car or bus, with their backpacks on, from behind. For some reason that perspective is really cute--over the years you can see the change in the proportion of backpack size to kid size; right now you'd probably see a pack with hair and feet!

And you hear that little pop-pop-pop noise? That's your brain cells growing back. ;-)

*squee* for freedom. Hope Impish Girl enjoyed her first day at school, and you enjoyed all that TIME. I'm sure that a baby as cute as The Cherub will soon have lovely long naps at lunchtime just to please her mum. *looks forward to some nice (hopefully spuffy) Elisi fic*

Impish Girl had a great time (but then she knew about half the other children already and has looked forward to spending all day with some of her best friends).

And to say I enjoyed the TIME would be the understatement of the year! I was rather lazy - and there was the fitting of a window, so I didn't do nearly as much housework as I *could* have, and yet the house is still fairly tidy! *faints*

I'm determined to finish my WIPs first of all, and then I might get round to some Spuffiness... until then you'll have to make do with today's offering I'm afraid. (And your comment totally made my day! *g*)
