Blessings.
I was woken this morning at 7 am(!) by Miss M, who brought a tray with a card, a poem (laminated!), a flower, orange juice and toast with a hearts cut out of the middle - the hearts having jam on them. :)
Yesterday all 5 of us + Darcy's parents went to Hebden Bridge, looked in a couple of shops & had some fish'n'chips and then went for a lovely walk. It was sunny, but cool (almost chilly in the shade), but spring is obviously in the air, and all the trees were budding.
And it struck me as we walked how uncommonly blessed we are - not just are we all fairly healthy and so on, but we can take our freedom for granted. The UK is far from perfect, and goodness knows we aren't rich, but compared to most of the rest of the world we are ridiculously lucky. I'm afraid I'm not expressing myself very well, since I'm half-asleep, but there was something about walking through a beautiful landscape that made me reflect on all this.
