This and that.
First of all a Happy Belated Birthday to
spikewriter! May the writing go swimmingly for you. :)
Then today we went to The Deep, which was *fascinating* and brilliant and worth every penny! On the way home our dear 'new' car overheated... and of course this was the one day when neither of us had brought a mobile phone. But there were a lot of upsides: We have an AA membership, it was a clear day and still light, and there was a nice path next to the embankment beside the motorway, so the waiting was not particularly unpleasant - although it was COLD! Still - we were home in time to watch 'Have You Been Framed'! :) (Darcy was going to take the car to a garage next week, because he was worried that it seemed to get a little hot...)
On the outwards journey, however, I was very industrious. Having just finished Chapter 9 of 'Divided Destiny', and having the whole fic plotted out (I have notes and everything!), I decided to write a proper outline. There are few details that are not quite worked out and might add a bit to the length, but at the moment I estimate that it'll run to 28 chapters (word count so far 28000 words), so goodness knows when it'll be finished (told you it'd be epic). I'll try my best to concentrate on it properly and not get distracted by anything else (this is presuming that all those of you who said you looked forward to a sequel to 'Maybe Someday' are still keen! *g*)
And now I really ought to get the girls out of the bath - they've had lots of fun with the inflatable (and water-squirting) shark that Darcy bought them...
