elisi | Back again... ish.

Hello there LJ world. I've had a lovely few days. My friend (C) and I have been friends ever since we were next door (but one) neighbours where we were little, and although we sorta lost touch for a few years, it's lovely to catch up. She's been studying medicine and has now finally finished, so she has a job and an income, and will probably come visiting more regularly. :) Other upshoot of being money-ied (well more than us), was that when we went to Ottakars on Monday and geeked out over fantasy books, she bought me HP7! (She's getting her own copy delivered from Amazon.) Which was... neat! I *own* a Harry Potter book - odd feeling. Oh and she also took us (all!) out for a meal last night. I like it when RL is all nice.

What else? Um, I've skimmed my flist, read 'Spike: Shadow Puppets 2' (there might be thoughts at some point) and my house is tidier than it's been in a long time. Also feeling somewhat disconnected, which is nice in a backwards kinda way, since it means that my head is full of fic bunnies rather than fandom opinions and meta.

Speaking of fic, then I posted a Doctor Who ficlet: Not The Last on Saturday (AU post-'Sound of Drums', spoilery for end of S3), if any of you Who fans want to check it out? It was supposed to be a one-off, but there will be more. Nothing epic, just two or three more ficlets. Bunnies are fun (if time consuming).
